Immigration DNA Testing

Immigration DNA testing is often required to provide proof of a relationship between a petitioner and a beneficiary who wishes to immigrate to the United States. BRT Laboratories, Inc. has provided DNA Testing services for over 23 years. We work with a global network of US embassies and assign you an immigration DNA testing coordinator to help you through the process. BRT Labs provides reliable results, quick turnaround, and an easy DNA sample collection process.

Immigration DNA Testing is Often Required to Help Family Members Immigrate to the United States

It is sometimes difficult to prove a biological relationship. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires documentation of biological relationships for immigration purposes, but that is sometimes impossible to provide. Birth certificates may be lost, faded, or inaccurate; church, school, or census records get misplaced; and affidavits can be difficult to obtain. If those situations arise, the USCIS accepts DNA testing results as evidence in support of an application for relative immigration. Learn more about Immigration DNA Testing and USCIS.

Immigration DNA Testing Needs to be Performed by a Trusted, Accredited Laboratory

BRT has built a worldwide reputation as a quality laboratory over the last 60 years. In 1985, we added DNA testing to our services, and we quickly became the first choice for DNA testing.

The USCIS requires immigration DNA testing results to be provided by an AABB Accredited Laboratory. The burden of proving you used an accredited laboratory is on your shoulders as the petitioner. Make that proof easy to obtain by choosing BRT Labs, which is listed on the AABB Accredited Relationship Testing Facilities List. For over two decades, immigration offices, courts, attorneys, physicians, and child support agencies have referred immigration DNA testing cases to BRT Laboratories, Inc, first accredited by the AABB for Relationship Testing in 1996.

We Provide You With a DNA Testing Coordinator Who is a Specialist in Immigration DNA Testing

BRT Labs makes immigration DNA testing easier than our competitors by providing you with a DNA Testing Coordinator who helps you through the process. The DNA Testing Coordinator identifies sample collection sites in the petitioners' and beneficiary(ies)' countries and creates appointments for all parties. Because we have a network of immigration DNA testing collection sites in over 75 countries, most people travel only a short distance to provide their DNA samples.

After a cheek (buccal) swab or drop of blood is collected, the DNA testing samples are securely shipped to BRT's laboratory, where we determine the probability of a relationship between the applicants. We then compile the DNA testing results and send them to the appropriate Immigration offices or Embassies. Your samples and tests are handled with the utmost dignity, privacy, and security at all times.
